Following a series

A series of novels or a comic is read in order. BiblioGenius treats series as a distinct kind of collection: volumes are numbered and laid out on a reading timeline.

Creating a series

Gather the volumes in a collection, open it, then turn on the "Series" switch at the top of the screen. The collection then takes the shape of a timeline rather than a grid.

Numbering the volumes

Two gestures, whichever suits you:

  • Drag a volume by its handle to change its rank on the timeline.
  • Tap the number on the cover to type the volume number directly.

A volume with no number stays in the series, shown as "Unnumbered": handy for a special issue or a volume you have not identified yet.

Reading the timeline

The timeline marks the volumes you have read, the ones left to read, and highlights the current one. At a glance you see where you are and which one to buy or borrow next.

A volume you are missing can go on your wishlist: your network will tell you if it becomes available.
